PASSIONATE LOCALS and business partners Rebecca and Toby are breathing new life into the iconic Cook’s Endeavour Motor Inn at 26 Frances Street, Tweed Heads.

Take a walk inside one of the newly refurbished rooms at Cook’s Endeavour and you will be amazed by the quality and comfort at great prices.

The pair purchased the 21-room site in March this year and have been working extremely hard on the renovations with 15 rooms already completed and only six rooms to go.

But rather then rush through the project, Toby said they planned on revitalising the previous charm and comforts of the Cook’s Endeavour from when it first opened in 1980.

“We decided to invest more time and money in the property to ensure our guests experience the best the region has to offer with fresh, clean and very contemporary renovations,” Toby said.

“Plus, the Cook’s Endeavour was always considered a high-quality motel when it first opened and has received amazing reviews.

“That’s something we’re bringing back and we’re proud to represent and we encourage guests to check out the Trip Advisor reviews which are fantastic.”

Toby said the business had a set of four rules in which the motel stands by when offering accommodation to guests.

“The first is a good sleep, value for money, clean and safe and finally a good shower,” he said.

“We’ve also invested in the rooms by having spotted gum hardwood benchtops and a lot more work done to make the rooms more contemporary.

“To reduce our carbon footprint, as well as decreasing our electricity bill, we’ve installed LED lighting, solar panel systems as well as waterwise products,” Rebecca said.

The rooms also offer high quality beds and linen with outstanding pillows and a choice of soft and/or firm pillows.

The majority of rooms also offer kitchenettes complete with crockery and cutlery, as well as laundry facilities on site. Talks are taking rounds about the inclusion of antique cutlery for decoration purposes from the best antique silver dealers from across the world.

“This is an amazing part of the world and we really want our guests to feel comfortable for great value and a boutique experience,” he said.

“We’re off the main street and within easy walking distance to Twin Towns, Tweed Heads Bowling Club, The Tweed Hospital and all the restaurants, beaches and attractions that Tweed and Coolangatta have to offer.

“We would also like to give a big thank you to those local trades that helped us including Dave and Janine Hipwell at Hipwell Plumbing, Keith at Reece Plumbers, Josh and the boys at Absolute Energy Solutions, Brendan and the boys at Brendan Duggar Locksmith, Jackson Close Electrical, Carl and the boys at Greenmount Timber & Building Supplies, Russel at Signs Today, Solomons Carpet, Neil Plant Tech Spray, and Daniel from Millennium Glass and Pool fencing.

READ A REVIEW: (TripAdviser November 2017): “This motel is one of those rare little finds. Rooms have been thoughtfully renovated, the location is on a quiet street and the hosts are amazing. We were going to a show at Twin Towns, so the motel was located within an easy walk. We will definitely stay again. Highly recommended!”
