POTTSVILLE RAINE & Horne principal Jamie Wilmen has taken out the top gong at the real estate company’s state awards held on the Gold Coast on Saturday, March 3.
For the third year in a row Mr Wilmen was the highest grossing commission agent for Raine & Horne between Grafton and north Queensland.
He also achieved the highest number of sales.
“It’s a bit of a David and Goliath story,” Mr Wilmen told The Weekly.
“That’s what we are most proud of, to be pumping those numbers out of a little place called Pottsville.
“I like the variation of the industry and being the master of your own destiny.
“I set goals and try to push myself to better them.”
Mr Wilmen, whose son Jesse works with him as a sales consultant, said real estate is a great career for young people.
“It’s a rollercoaster but if you can hang in through the bad times they can have a really successful career,” he said.
