TWEED POLICE and emergency services have responded to two traffic accidents in Murwillumbah this morning.
The first was believed to have occurred at about 7.40am this morning at Tumbulgum Road involving two vehicles.
The accident occurred between a four-wheel-drive, which is understood to have t-boned a ute at the Reynolds Street intersection.
Both drivers were believed to be okay and the vehicles have been separated.
A resident told The Weekly Tumbulgum Road has been experiencing an increase in traffic due to roadworks.
Emergency service crews are on the scene and local police have setup traffic diversions and are investigating the collision.
A second accident also occurred at Frances Street near the Tweed Hospital, although details are limited on this matter.
