MOTORISTS USING Minjungbal Drive are being advised to allow for extra travel time whilst work is undertaken on the Boyds Bay Bridge from Tuesday, September 12.

Only one lane will remain open in each direction from Tuesday, September 12 until at least Thursday, September 14 from 9.30am to 2.30pm.

Roads and Maritime Services said they will be inspecting areas above and below the bridge deck to prepare for upcoming maintenance.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction and a 40 km/h speed limit will be in place while work takes place.

Motorists are being advised to plan their journey, allow for extra travel time and follow the direction of all signs and traffic controllers.

The inspection will also involve work in the waterway under the bridge from Monday, September 11 to Friday, September 15.

Up to date information including any changes to work dates will be displayed on electronic messaging signs along the roads and highway.

Roads and Maritime Services said they would like to thank the community for its patience while work is carried out.
