TWEED POLICE have charged a man with affray, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and malicious damage, after a brawl broke out at Chinderah at 1.45pm on Saturday, September 2.
Police said they were continuing investigations around the fight involving several people at a licensed premises in Chinderah.
Police were called to the premises after a number of male persons were involved in the fight.
It was unknown how the fight started or whether it involved local residents.
“At this stage one male person has been charged with Assault/Affray and Malicious Damage and bailed to appear at Tweed Heads Local Court on September 25,” police said.
“The investigation is ongoing and further charges are expected to be laid.”
