THE NEWLY re-developed Tweed City will officially open this weekend cementing the centre as the number one shopping destination on the Tweed and Southern Gold Coast.
The retail destination is set to welcome Harris Scarfe, which is a first for the brand in both the Tweed and Gold Coast areas, enhancing the strong fashion and homewares offering at Tweed City.
The Cove is an exciting new dining and entertainment precinct at Tweed City which offers a vibrant destination for the locals and visitors to enjoy.
The opening commences with the unveiling of new dining options by Mad Mex, Schnitz, Grill’d and Rozzi’s Italian Canteen with more exciting cafes and restaurants to be included.
The development of The Cove not only enhances the experience for the local community, it provides a diverse array of family friendly dining options, open seven days a week from 9am for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Developed by DEXUS Property Group, the $30 million precinct welcomes a number of new retailers to Tweed City offering a new exciting family friendly dining experience to the community.
DEXUS Project Development Manager Lucy Burnitt said the innovative and new Tweed City offers the community an enticing space to escape the daily grind and enjoy the relaxed coastal environment.
The Cove at Tweed City offers a place in which to escape, where visitors are surrounded by “pandanus trees and gardens that connect with the relaxed coastal environment – treasured by so many,” said Ms Burnitt.
“The kids can enjoy themselves in their very own play area, whilst parents enjoy local musical acts on the purpose built community stage,” she said.
“This new precinct further compliments the retail offer of Tweed City cementing the retail destination as the preeminent shopping destination for the Tweed and Southern Gold Coast.”
DEXUS Centre Manager Kathryn Mills said that this new offer to The Cove at Tweed City has been created as a destination hub for the community.
“It will become a place where visitors can enjoy the outstanding climate and lifestyle area and provides a relaxed environment to meet friends and family,” she said.
“The new food and entertainment offer, never seen before in the area, will be open seven days a week and feature a new purpose built play area for children; alongside an assortment of family friendly restaurants and cafes.
“The Cove also links customers to the cinemas, food court and the existing centre creating a complete shopping experience. Tweed City is excited to welcome the region’s first Harris Scarfe which further strengthens the retail offer for our customers.”
The Cove at Tweed City will celebrate this weekend, October 14-16 with three days of family fun and entertainment. There will be a fireworks spectacular on both Friday and Saturday evening and a feature performance by Justice Crew, The Cove is set to come alive.
Harris Scarfe opens today (October 13) from 9am. The first 100 people into the new store will receive a $20 gift card.
Justice Crew will take the stage at 7.30pm Saturday October 15.
