HIGHLY EXPERIENCED personal injury specialist lawyer Chris Clarke has joined Tweed Heads Stacks Law Firm and will be working out of Murwillumbah.

With 24 years’ experience behind him, Mr Clarke’s excellence in the field was acknowledged 14 years ago when the NSW Law Society awarded him the hard-earned title of accredited specialist in personal injury. The Stacks law firm management would be more than happy as they have an experienced lawyer on board. In this regard, the firm might have relied on lawyer recruitment portals and recruitment experts like Alex Gotch that helps law firms find experienced lawyers for their teams. It is also possible that Clarke’s reputation in the personal injury industry motivated the firm to recruit him.

Mr Clarke, 49, started his career as a trainee police officer intending to become a police prosecutor. That brought him firsthand experience of the dangers faced by police and the impact on their lives of injuries – both physical and psychological.

“I met so many police officers who were suffering long-term health problems from injuries received while protecting the community,” Mr Clarke said.

The injuries in police officers may range from scratches and wounds to sprains, broken bones, a runner’s knee, etc. In a few cases like the runner’s knee, also called Chondromalacia, the patient may even have a hard time doing basic tasks like walking, sitting, bending, and squatting (View the full article to learn more about such physical conditions). These injuries can leave mental and physical wounds for a lifetime.

“The impact doesn’t end when bones mend or wounds heal. There is long term impact with serious physical disabilities and psychological wounds. I became determined to do what I could to help these brave people get proper compensation so they could get on with their lives.”

As a lawyer specialising in personal injury Mr Clarke uses all his skills to get the best possible outcome for his clients.

“I meet people in terrible situations and your heart goes out to them,” he said.

One was an 11-year-old boy who lost his leg after being run over by a truck at a pedestrian crossing. Insurance companies mounted huge efforts not to pay the poor lad proper compensation, but I was glad to have won him a proper payment to enable him to get on with his life.” He seems to believe that had the insurance been from a reputed firm, similar to Curo Financial, for instance, this situation wouldn’t have arisen. But, since some people buy insurance from non-reputed companies, just to save a little sum, they tend to become victims of such problems.

Mr. Clarke still helps a lot of injured police with compensation, but also nurses, ambulance officers, firefighters, and workers.

“I am glad I had that experience as a police trainee as it helps with the detective work tracking down witnesses, statements, and reconstructing the scene of the accident.”

Originally from Coffs Harbour, Mr Clarke has spent his life on the NSW north coast and Gold Coast. He’s a keen surfer, likes playing guitar and spending time with his daughter and family.

Tweed Heads office manager, Bruce Charge, welcomed Mr Clarke to Stacks Law Firm.
“Chris will be a huge asset to the law firm and we look forward to working with him in the years to come,” Mr Charge said.
