SMILE STREET awarded their latest prize giveaway recently with Murwillumbah local Dave Hancox named the winner of five tickets to Bruno Mars at the Entertainment Centre on Thursday, March 15.
Mr Hancox said he was delighted to be named the winner but said Bruno Mars may not be his cup-of-tea.
āIām extremely grateful to be named the winner in Smile Streetās latest competition prize giveaway,ā he said.
āBut I think it might be best if I look for another more willing local or family to go in my place.ā
Mr Hancox said he was hoping to sell the tickets for a reasonable price in order to raise some funds to fix his ride-on mower.
The tickets were valued at $185 per ticket, however, Mr Hancox said if a local family wanted to go heād be willing to negotiate.
Bruno Mars tickets have recently sold fast with prices pushing towards $250 per ticket.
āIf thereās a local family wanting to go to this concert Iād be happy to talk to them about getting the best price,ā he said.
Smile Street owner Ramesh Sivabalan and the Smile Street team congratulated Mr Hancox and recognised that Bruno Mars would not be for everyone.
āItās great that Dave wants to sell the tickets to a local family,ā he said.
āWhile Bruno Mars is a huge star in the music world, his music might not be for everyone.ā
