Sarah had the lucky 10th key to open the MG!

A SINGLE mum from Tweed Heads doing it tough won a brand new MG car on Friday, December 10, thanks to Smile Street dental clinic

Ten lucky patients armed with ten different keys had to try to open the car.

“I was number ten and when it got down to the last two I couldn’t look and when number nine’s keys didn’t open it I screamed, I couldn’t believe it,” winner Sarah Roth said.

Sarah runs Saltwater Silver in Coolangatta and lost 70 per cent of her business with border closures and has been locked out of her shop for weeks at a time.

“I pour my heart and soul into my business, all for my little girl,” she said.

“Last week I slammed my van door on my hand and it was pretty bad; I couldn’t make my jewellery at my busiest time of year and I was so upset and depressed it was like the final straw.

“When Ramesh rang to say I was in the draw I’d been crying for two hours with the pain.

“Ramesh is an amazing dentist; my little girl gets nervous and he makes her laugh and all the staff are brilliant.

“I wish everyone the happiest Christmas; whatever gets thrown our way we can get through it.”

Owner of Smile Street Murwillumbah and Coolangatta, Dr Ramesh Sivabalan, said he couldn’t think of a more deserving winner.

“I think there was some divine intervention for Sarah; she’s a wonderful person with a very positive attitude, her business has really suffered but she still prioritised her and her child’s dental health,” he said.

“Wendy Brewin from Victory MG has done so much work to make this happen and Jason Mannix the Sales Manager added three years free servicing; I can’t stress enough how cool it is to work with a local company that has so much heart so thanks heaps,” Ramesh said.

The nine other entrants were given a bottle of champagne and a $250 teeth whitening kit.
