TWEED POLICE have charged a 33-year-old Mount Burrell man with high range drink driving following a motor vehicle accident at South Murwillumbah on Friday, November 11.
Police were called to Tweed Valley Way, South Murwillumbah, just after 5pm following reports of a two vehicle collision.
A white Holden Commodore had run into the rear of another vehicle on Tweed Valley Way. Neither of the drivers suffered any injuries.
Police breath tested both drivers at the scene and the driver of the Commodore returned a positive reading. He was arrested and conveyed to the Murwillumbah Police Station for a Breath Analysis which also returned a positive result for alcohol.
The man was charged with Driving with a High Range Prescribed Concentration of Alcohol (PCA) and his licence was suspended. He will appear at the Murwillumbah Local Court on November 29, 2016.
