THE FAMILY of Joel Noonan have expressed their deepest gratitude to authorities and the local media for helping bring Joel home overnight, following a lengthy campaign and fears for his safety.
Joel was reported missing on Saturday, February 11, after he did not return home from school the previous day.
His family reported Joel missing to Tweed Police who appealed to the community and media to assist.
A support page was setup on social media under the title “Joel Noonan Support Page” and posted the following comment on Wednesday, March 1, at about 10pm.
“Just to let you all know that Joel has returned safe and well and will need your continued support to help the healing and growth,” the post reads.
“His journey has given him insights into life and family and friends.
“Please share this message and our deepest thanks for your support during this time and the eyes and ears you have been to help us to locate and assist Joel in the next chapter of growth xx.”
The circumstances surrounding Joel’s disappearance remain unknown, however he has returned home safe and well.
