MURWILLUMBAH LOCAL Jasmyn Irwin is making waves in the fashion world with her label Jasmyn Eliza and sheβs hosting a special runway show this Sunday, January 15.
Jasmyn creates 100 per cent handmade swimwear drawing from the age-old skills of crocheting to create stunning and thoughtful fashion pieces for the gypsies and dreamers in us all.
Jasmyn Eliza garments have already featured in international magazines, advertising campaigns and have appeared on the social media pages of some of the digital worldβs fashion elites.
To celebrate the launch of her latest collection, Jasmyn Eliza has teamed up with Tweed brands, models and makeup artists for a series of campaign shoots ending with a Runway Show at Komune in Coolangatta on Sunday, January 15, from 3pm.
In case you havenβt heard Komune is famous for its Sunday sessions and frequently hosts designers and the catwalk runs right through the pool, itβs the place to be this summer.
Drawing inspiration from the bohemian lifestyle, Jasmyn is a self-confessed gypsy who channels her inner goddess to create clothing that celebrates fashion freedom.
βI have a deep connection to the Tweed Valley and Iβve drawn inspiration from the many beautiful beaches and rivers in the area,β she said.
βI first encountered crochet during my primary years at Steiner School and I later self-taught as an adult to refine my skills.
βIβm also branching out into the photography world as I take more of my own product shots.β
Having been away from the Tweed for the past few years, her first local show is set to be a big one, with support brands Glo Tatts, Iβm with the Band Headbands and Grace Bijoux.
Makeup on the day will be by LARNA G from INGLOT Tweed Mall.
