History making win for Salt Surf Life Saving Club at nationals

LONE REPRESENTATIVE from the Salt SLSC has won Gold and Silver at the Australian Surf Lifesaving titles.

John-Paul Smith, 46, from Casuarina made history for the club in the beach flags event.

John-Paul (JP) trained consistently and overcame numerous injuries to take part in the prestigious Aussie Titles.

JP also had a very impressive run in the sprints event taking the Silver medal in one of the fastest races of the day.

All the hours of training paid off and JP is very happy and proud to be the first male Salt Surf Club member to win Gold & Silver.
