Murwillumbah Theatre Company is proud to present the brilliant Grug and The Rainbow at the Murwillumbah Civic Centre on Tuesday, September 19 at 5pm.
The multi-Helpmann Award winning Windmill Theatre Company from Adelaide will be in town after touring North America with the best children’s puppetry theatre in the business, based on the much-loved picture book character Grug, created by Ted Prior.
Grug began his life as the grassy top of a Burrawang tree.
Fascinated by the world around him and never short of an adventure, Grug embarks on his own epic journey to find a rainbow, which always seems just beyond his grasp.
But Grug is full of determination and his adventures are surprising.
Grug and The Rainbow features exquisite puppetry and more of the gentle storytelling that has delighted audiences around the world.
This brand new show has been especially created for the next generation of theatregoers, and those who just love Grug.
The Barefoot Review claims it was “amongst the best children’s theatre you will find” and “don’t miss this gorgeous show”.
Grug and The Rainbow will be showing once only to the general public on Tuesday, September 19 at 5pm.
The 45-minute show includes 10 minutes of post-show activity with the actors and puppets.
Tickets are $10 for kids and $15 for adults, and are available from http://murwillumbahtheatrecompany.com.au, from Larkins Electrical in Wharf Street (lower end of Main Street opposite the old Murwillumbah Hotel), or at the door.
See you and Grug at the Murwillumbah Civic Centre on September 19.
