The Far North Coast Rugby Union competition took a break whilst the NSW Country Rugby Championships were held in Port Macquarie over the weekend.
The Far North Coast Colts team won the Colts Shield beating Illawarra 31 to 5 in the tier two final.
The Colts led Illawara 7 to 0 at half-time and put on another 24 points in the second half for a convincing win.
Two of the Casuarina Beach Rugby Club’s youngest First Grade players Kai Alexander George and Webb Lillis were part of the winning team.
In the seniors tier two final the Far North Coast team lost to Mid North Coast who won their first senior championship final.
The Mid North Coast team came from behind beating the Far North Coast team 31 to 17.
The Casuarina Beach Rugby team have a home game this weekend, Saturday May 6 against Southern Cross University.
The Gentlemen of Murwillumbah have a bye this weekend and will play Iluka at home on Saturday, May 13.
