Elderly man found dead in Banora waterway

THE DEATH of an elderly man at Banora Point this morning is not believed to be suspicious according to Tweed Police.

Police responded to reports of a partially submerged body in an outlet of Lake Kimberly (pictured) around 11am this morning.

A mobility scooter, believed to have belonged to the man, was also pulled from the water.

The identity of the man remains a mystery and an investigation will be carried out to determine how the man died.
