BANORA POINT

Al-Anon Family Groups Is your life affected by someone elseโ€™s drinking? Al-Anon can help. BILAMBIL

The Miss Tweed Ball 2017 will continue with Bilambil on the 13th May, and then Tumbulgum on the 20th May and Burringbar on the 27th May,. Dancing from 8pm to midnight, supper included. Tickets are available at the door; there will be raffles, lucky spot prizes, and a variety of dances.-

The Tweed Valley – Murwillumbah Sub Branch of the National Servicemenโ€™s Assoc meet the third Tuesday of the month at Cudgen Leagues Club, at 10am. Friends of the Library Kingscliff invite you to come to the library in Turnock St, Kingscliiff and snap up some bargains every Saturday morning between 9.15-11.45am. Murwillumbah Evening VIEW Club next dinner meeting will be on Monday, June 5 at the Tumbulgum Tavern. The meeting starts at 6:30pm for dinner at 7pm. This month we will be celebrating our 40th Birthday. Theme: The Captainโ€™s Table. Dress: Evening Wear Cost: $30. Murwillumbah on the Move walking group for the Heart Foundation meets at Knox Park at 6.55am each Wednesday and Saturday for an hour long walk around the town area. The Murwillumbah Cancer Support Group meets from 10am to 12 midday on the second Monday of every month at the Community Health Centre on the corner of Nullum and Wollumbin streets. However, please note that for June only we will meet on the first Monday of the month which is Monday, June 5. These informal meetings offer mutual, practical and emotional support. Tweed Valley Spanish Language Conversation Group. TWEED HEADS

Combined Tweed View Clubs invite everyone to โ€œWalk with Viewโ€ on Sunday, May 28. Starting at 11am from the Northern end of the Tweed Boat Harbour and strolling along Wharf street and back. Everyone is invited. The aim of the walk is to promote the work of View in educating disadvantaged Australian Children to obtain the true potential. There is no cost to anyone. At the finish of the 30 to 40 minute walk, there will be a BYO Barbeque in the park and you can get to know the ladies from View who are eager to tell you all about these wonderful local clubs that are a valued part of the Smith Family. The Tweed Hospital Auxiliary will be holding its Annual Fashion Parade on Friday, May 26 at the Twin Towns Function Centre, 8 Boyd Street, Tweed Heads. Doors open at 9.30am for a 10am start. Morning Tea is included in admission of $20 per person. Tickets are available from May 12 at the Tweed Hospital Auxiliary Gift Shop. Pre-purchase your tickets as seating is limited. Lucky door prizes and the raffle will be drawn on the day.

The Gold Coast South โ€“ Twin Towns Branch of the National Servicemenโ€™s Association of Australia serving from Tallebudgera to The Tweed will hold its next General Meeting on Sunday, May 21 at 10am EST Time in the โ€œRSL Sub Branch Anzac Roomโ€ of the Twin Towns Resort.
