A VEHICLE traveling on Kyogle Road near Mt Warning has left the road and ended up on it’s side in the Tweed River at 11.45am.
No one was believed to be seriously injured in the accident, however this information could be updated later today.
Passing motorists were shocked to see how far the vehicle traveled and emergency services have set up a perimeter to extract the vehicle.
Fire Services have also setup a (oil) spill containment ring to prevent the vehicles’ fluids from spreading in the river.
The road remains open and traffic is being directed.
