BOURKE LOVE Lawyers are celebrating the opening of a new office at Kingscliff, marking the law firm’s fourth office.

Director Brendan Bourke said Bourke Love now have offices in Ballina, Lismore and Varsity Lakes and chose Kingscliff when they saw how much the area was growing.

Mr Bourke has a reputation as one of NSW’s leading plaintiff work injury litigation lawyers and has worked extensively with NSW Police officers and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) injuries in emergency services first responders and other people injured at work.

“We just do personal injury work,” Mr Bourke said.

“All we do is personal injury workers compensations, motor accidents, slips and falls and that type of work.”

Mr Bourke said he had been visiting Kingscliff for 10 years and loved the area.

“When I was living in Brisbane and courting my now-wife we used to drive down through here to Cabarita and Pottsville,” he said.

“It was just the fun back road and it was nice to see Kingscliff and Pottsville and those sort of places going ahead through the years.

“My sister-in-law lives here and visiting her over the years we watched the town grow and noticed there was a real vibe in the area with Casuarina, Salt and Kingscliff all going ahead so much.”

Mr Bourke said he and his partner saw a growing need for the experience the firm has.

“I know it’s controversial but it looks like the hospital is coming to somewhere near Kingscliff and I know that will bring a lot of difficulties but it will bring a lot of people – health professionals and people that serve the hospital community and so it’s a good time for us to come up here,” he said.

“We love what we do and I wanted to come up here and invest some of my energy here.

“I’m coming up from our Ballina office a couple of days a week and my partner Tony Love – one of NSW’s most prominent plaintiff motor accidents litigation lawyers – will be coming up from our Lismore office two or three days a week.

“I’ve been a lawyer for 30 years and Tony for 22. Lynetta James has been a lawyer for 20 years and she will be coming up a couple of days a week.

“Jess Flick is a young lawyer who has been admitted about four years and will come up one or two days a fortnight and Pania Watt has been with us for 14 years and a lawyer for nine of those and will come down from Varsity Lakes as well.”

Mr Bourke said it was a great place for the team to connect.

“It’s a fabulous place to be, to meet the other lawyers and talk about cases,” he said.

“We are excited at the prospect of working here.

“I love this place. We had our opening last week and everyone came in and had a look around and went straight out the back door into Phoebe’s for a couple of beers.

“We have so many other great places to meet up and discuss cases and we are really looking forward to working with the community.”
