AN INNOVATIVE new early learning centre Begin Bright which hopes to instill in children a lifelong love of learning is set to open at Kingscliff next week.

Begin Bright Kingscliff owner Michelle Webster recently spoke to The Weekly about her business located on the first floor of the Zo Building at Kingscliff which opens Monday, February 28.

Mrs Webster said as a parent she knows we want to give our children the best in life and do whatever we can for them to be successful.

“We also want our children to be confident and happy,” she said.

“At Begin Bright we can achieve all of these goals you have for your children. We make children happy by teaching them in a fun way so they gain confidence and love learning.

As a parent you will be happy knowing you have given your child the best possible start to school and to love learning. You will also feel proud when you see your children excel.”

Mrs Webster said the facility is a school readiness and primary tutoring centre that runs programs to help children become happier, smarter and more confident so that they can reach their full potential in life.

“The programs offered are: 2-3 year olds early learning craft classes; school readiness classes for 3-5 year olds; primary tutoring in individual or small group sessions; school holiday workshops and parent workshops,” she said.

“It is a purpose designed centre located on the first floor of the Zo building in Kingscliff. It is brand new, bright, colourful and a fun place to learn.

“The investment I have made is I have left my full time job and bought the Begin Bright franchise. With over 20 years teaching experience in the early education field I feel there is a need for this service in our area. I am passionate about giving children the best possible start to learning and education. I am also excited to begin a business venture.”

Mrs Webster said she hopes to make children happy and confident and to instill in them a lifelong love of learning.

“For children to be successful and to do well in school. For families to make their lives easier by having children who head to school confident and with no anxiety,” she said.

“For parents to feel success when their children excel and are happy. Also to be part of the local community and offer support to those who need it.

“In regard to the primary tutoring program the program is designed by teachers and ensures that all the Australian curriculum requirements are met for children from Kindergarten to Year 6. Tutoring lessons are only run by fully qualified and experienced primary school teachers.

“The program has been running since 2012 and has seen great results in children’s academic levels. We have seen success by using proven lesson plans and one-on-one/small group teaching methods.

“The school readiness program has been taught in Sydney since 2004 and has been proven to get outstanding results, giving children the knowledge, self confidence, and love of learning that puts them on the path to lifetime success.

“The school readiness program teaches children between the ages of 3 and 6 aspects of literacy and numeracy in a fun and exciting way. We use concrete materials and supportive games to keep them interested and to appeal to different learning styles. Through fun characters, stories and rhyme, letter sounds are easily remembered and activities are designed to reinforce number logic. This helps prepare them better for school.

“The primary tutoring program caters for all children. Those who are struggling at school, gifted students and those who just need to feel more confident. Through developing individual, personalised learning programs we focus on what each child needs to achieve their goals.

“We also consolidate learning during each lesson using a fun game or activity.

“We are taking enrollments now. Classes will commence on Monday 27th February.”
The school readiness classes run for one hour during school terms on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning. There are various classes and times from 9-10 am and 10-11am. Class sizes are limited to 8.

Primary school tutoring is available every morning and afternoon before school from 7am and after school up until 6pm and also Saturdays. Individual tutoring is run for 30, 45 or 60 minutes and group tutoring with a maximum of 3 children for 45 and 60 minute sessions.
