A CAR has crashed into the Tweed River for the second time in a week, this time on the Tweed Valley Way between Condong and Tumbulgum.
Emergency services responded to the accident which occurred at 1.45pm this afternoon, and assessed two patients at the scene.
One of the patients, a female in her 50s went into cardiac arrest, both patients were transported to The Tweed Hospital.
The Tweed Valley Way was closed earlier to retrieve the vehicle from the water and is now open to traffic.
