POLICE ARE appealing for information after a NSW ambulance was damaged on the M1 Motorway on Saturday evening (October 22).

At about 9.30pm an ambulance was travelling south along the M1 Motorway near the Round Mountain Road overpass. As the ambulance travelled under the overpass an object believed to be a rock impacted the left side of the front windscreen causing it to shatter.

The ambulance officers were the only occupants and they were uninjurred. A police patrol of the area failed to locate any offenders.

Police are appealing for any information in relation to the incident to contact Tweed Heads Police or Crime Stoppers.
