A FAMILY Fun Day and Sponsors Day will take place at the Murwillumbah Leagues Club on Saturday, May 29, with the Tweed’s first show ‘n’ shine ready to roll.
The event is hosted by the Murwillumbah Sporting Car Club (MSCC) to give a big “thank you” to the club’s local sponsors, while offering the community a family fun day to enjoy.
The event will include a show ‘n’ shine, live music, barbecue, jumping castles and much more, with entry via a gold coin donation for Youth Off the Streets.
MSCC event coordinators Keith Statesmen and Barry Wearing said the event has confirmed four car clubs attending including the MSCC, Mount Warning Car Club and the Tweed Valley Vehicle Restorers, as well as the XB GT two-door club.
“In total there will be up to 70 vehicles on display,” Mr Statesmen said.
“It’s going to be a great day out, and we’d love our sponsors and the whole community to come and join us at the Leagues Club.”
Mr Wearing said the club was keen to get the community out and celebrating again with live music.
“We’ve got Brad Johns performing and we will have a jumping castle for the kids and plenty of food and refreshments,” he said.
“As there’s been very few open fun day events, the car club wanted to celebrate our sponsors and put on an event for the whole community to break the drought.
“There’s going to be plenty of fun on the day and we’d love to see locals and visitors come down and have a look.”
Anyone wanting more information, or to become a sponsors, can phone MSCC on 0428 249 483.
