PRICELINE Pharmacy in Murwillumbah has recently made another life-saving donation to the Murwillumbah State Emergency Service (SES) that will help monitor and improve flood warning systems.
The Priceline Murwillumbah store raised $5 from every $19.95 flu vaccination and recently reached a total of $1,250.
The funds were donated to Murwillumbah SES coordinator Chris Chrisostomos, who said they will be used to purchase CCTV cameras to monitor river heights.
“With the funds they’ve raised, Priceline Pharmacy Murwillumbah’s donation will go towards purchasing these cameras so we can monitor the river heights at any time and predict how they may vary downstream,” he said.
“I’d like to extend a big thank you to Priceline Murwillumbah for their generous support of our local SES unit, it’s been a huge help over the years and is greatly appreciated.”
Priceline Pharmacy Murwillumbah owners Vin Kewel and Naleen Narayan said they were “delighted” to continue raising funds and supporting the efforts of the local SES.
The team were also happy to welcome Vin back after a hiatus of four years he’s back serving the local community.
