TWEED POLICE are on the hunt to locate and question two men who allegedly approached and one of the men grabbed a nine-year-old girl at about 8.30am on Heffron Street, Tweed Heads, on Thursday, June 14.
Fortunately the girl, who said she was grabbed around the waist, managed to escape the man and reported the incident to a teacher, who immediately contacted police.
Officers attached to Tweed/Byron Police District commenced an investigation into the incident and would like to speak to two men who might be able to assist.
“The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 20 and 30, with short brown hair, and a nose stud in the right side of his nose and a black coloured tattoo on his right ankle,” police said.
“He was wearing a black t shirt, black long shorts and black sneakers without laces.
“The second man is described as being aged between 20 and 30, with short brown hair, dark skin, and a silver nose ring between his nostrils.
“He was wearing a dark blue t-shirt, black pants and black shoes with laces.”
