A 70-YEAR-OLD Tweed Heads man has been arrested for indecently assaulting a door-to-door sale representative on Saturday, September 16.
Tweed Police said it was about 2pm when the 25-year-old female knocked on a Tweed Heads West property and was invited inside.
Police said a number of sales representatives were in the area speaking to residents.
“The 70-year-old man made a number of unwanted advances towards the female,” police said.
“The woman has fled the scene and notified police.”
Police said they attended a short time later and the man was arrested and conveyed to Tweed Heads Police Station where he was charged with two counts of Assault with Act of Indecency.
He is due to appear at Tweed Heads Local Court on 9 October 2017.
