AN AMAZING presentation of the regionโs master woodcrafters will be on display at the Murwillumbah Showgrounds this weekend, for the Woodcraft Show and Competition Day on Saturday and Sunday, July 1-2.
Gates open from 8am to 4pm each day with about 200 individual handmade items, ranging from aesthetic wood-carved items to household and kitchen goods.
This year marks the inaugural combined club event which includes the Tweed Valley and Richmond Woodcrafting Clubs.
Tweed Valley Woodcrafters Association secretary Archie Crawford said the club was funded by its members and welcomes both men and women.
โThereโs two aspects to the clubs, firstly itโs a mixed gender club and we take all ages,โ he said.
โWe are a self-sufficient club that has built a reputation for engaging all people interested in woodcrafting endeavours.โ
The Woodcraft Show will present items such as a grandfather clocks to breadboards, wood carvings, wooden bowls, unique pen and scribe crafts, wooden platters and a wide range of wooden kitchen entries.
The Woodcraft Show is free entry and items with prices are extremely competitive.
The club is always open to new members and information will be available at the Showgrounds across the weekend.
