SEVERAL BURRINGBAR residents have put an urgent call out for help, to assist with a massive clean up job after a torrent of water ripped through the region and left many residents stranded.

The damage is wide and extensive to homes across Burringbar, Upper Burringbar and Mooball with several roads completely destroyed and some people still without telecoms.

A community group has been formed and the group is calling for help this weekend.

“We need a mud army this Saturday. April 8 and Sunday April 9,” the post read to The Weekly.

“We’re meeting at the corner of Hunter street and Dingnan street, Burringbar at 9am please BYO gloves, protective footwear, mop buckets and or shovel and rakes etc.”
