TWEED POLICE are investigating the theft of Seadoo 200 Speedster watercraft from a Tweed Heads West address on Saturday, March 11.

Although police did not mention the value, the 200 Speedster is slightly more than your average jet ski. A late model 200 Speedster will set you back about $50,000 and around $20,000 for earlier models.

Officers, from Tweed/Byron Local Area Command, said it was around 6:30pm when several witnesses observed a white Nissan Patrol hook up the boat and trailer before driving off.

“The boat trailer did not have registration plate displayed as it had only just been registered and the owner had not had a chance to attach the plates,” a police statement reads.

Police also supplied an image as an example which has been circulated across social media.

The description of the stolen boat is the same as the picture below.

If any member of the community has any knowledge of the vehicle or its whereabouts they can contact Crime Stoppers:
1800 333 000 or Tweed Heads police on 07 55360999.
