THE BAKERS of Uki and surrounds will come together for a picnic-style presentation at the Uki Hall on Sunday, March 12.
Known as the The Great Uki Bake Off, local and visiting bakers will bring their finest baked goods to the Hall from 11am to 1.30pm.
One of the eventβs organisers Loren Dent said the event was a way to bring the community together around the joys of baking.
βIf you donβt have time to whip up a dish to enter, which is free by the way, for a $5 entry (kids under 10 are free) you can come along to enjoy a taste of delicious breads, cakes, biscuits, desserts and drinks that are being procured in the creative kitchens around Uki,β he said.
βThere will be live music and hot chai available to help make a festive picnic in the hall, bring a cushion to get comfy if you like.
βThere are oodles of great prizes to be awarded, kindly donated by the Happy Herb Company, Mavisβs Kitchen, Menβs Shed Murwillumbah, The Modern Grocer, Tinkers Cuss, Uki Cafe and Magic Mountain Health Foods.β
