PASSIONATE TWEED locals Dave and Karen Lowe have recently purchased Shade-Tech in South Murwillumbah.
Shade-Tech has been established in the Tweed Shire since 1976, offering made to measure screens, blinds, awnings and shutters.
The business is also one of only a few operators to use the licensed manufacturer of Invisigard Security Screen Doors and windows.
Speaking with The Weekly, Karen said she was “extremely happy” to have bought the local business and to continue the tradition of great customer service and pricing established by the previous owner the Evans family.
“We’re very happy to have had the opportunity to purchase this family run business, based locally, no more long commutes to work,” she said.
Dave has been a carpenter and joiner for 30 years, building new homes and renovations on the Gold Coast. Karen has worked in nursing for the past 12 years and the couple have lived locally for the past 14 years.
“We would like to sincerely wish Lyn and Gil a happy, healthy retirement, and on behalf of the community thank them for their service and support,” Karen said.
“We are hoping to continue to service Tweed Shire in the same friendly manner.”
The couple are also planning on adding a website to the business to give customers more access to colour choices and product ranges.
“We will be adding a website, showing our products and what colour choices are available soon,” Karen said.
“So, if you are in the market for a screen, blind, awning or shutter, Shade-Tech has got you covered for privacy, shade and security.”
