YOUNG LOCAL entrepreneur Daniel Wise, 22, is finding his feet in the business world after he purchased the Subway Murwillumbah in December last year.

Ambitious and with a lot of knowledge behind him, Daniel started working at Subway Murwillumbah at the age of 14 and had always dreamed of becoming a franchisee and owning his own store.

A Murwillumbah High School student, Daniel (pictured) decided to leave school in year 11 and work as Subway’s full-time supervisor.

He showed great potential and quickly worked his way up to assistant manager for Sharon, who was the previous owner.

During his time as the assistant manager, Daniel would make brief trips away to broaden his horizons only to return to Subway Murwillumbah once more.

Thanks to the support of his parents and two brothers as well as the previous owner, Daniel now wakes up and fulfills his dream every day.

“I would like to thank the staff that have shown such great support and loyalty to the business and to me as the new owner,” he said.

“The staff were amazing when they decided to stay and make this transmission run smoothly and thank you also to those new members that have since joined this great team.”

Daniel has a strong connection to the Tweed and in particular the Tweed Valley where three generations on both sides of his family have lived locally.

“I’d like to thank all our customers and welcome all the new ones that have already shown so much support since taking over,” he said.

“I hope to attract new customers and support local sports and other organisation within our local community.

“I would like to extend a special thanks to everyone that made this possible and the whole Murwillumbah Subway team. I’d also like to wish Sharon and her family the very best for the future.”

Subway Murwillumbah is open seven days from 7am to 9pm. To meet Daniel or one of his friendly Subway Murwillumbah staff members visit Shop 3, Murwillumbah Central, Cnr Wollumbin and Brisbane Street, or phone: (02) 6672 4550.
